We have MACHINE sewing options, as well as CRAFTS and HAND sewing options, whichever works best for your party guests. All guests must be 6+ years to use the sewing machine. Guests must be 5+ years for hand sewing/crafts.
Having hosted birthday parties for years, the staff at Hipstitch is organized, professional, and prepared, allowing you to relax and focus on the fun happening all around you!

| No sewing experience is necessary, as our friendly and helpful staff will teach them everything they need to know. Guests will be given a quick lesson on the machines and some practice time before creating their own personalized pillow. If anyone has previously made a pillow with us, they can make a tote bag instead. | If the guest-of-honor and friends prefer working with other fiber arts, the Hipstitch team has a wide selection of creative projects. We can even customize a project just for your party depending on age and interests. Popular options include embroidery, weaving, and hand sewing. |
Our Arlington studio can accommodate up to 15 guests. Cost is $350 for up to 10 guests, $25 for each additional guest. Parties run for 1.5 hours, but hosts are welcome 15 minutes before and after for set-up and break-down. Parties are offered on Saturdays and Sundays, but feel free to contact us for scheduling weekday parties as well.
We allow dessert only during the last 15 minutes of the party to give the participants as much time as possible to make the project.
Since we have limited space, Birthday Parties at Hipstitch are drop off only. The parents of the birthday guest will be allowed to stay for the duration of the party. At least 1 adult chaperone is required to stay while parents of all other guests drop off and pick up at our front entrance.
Don't have time to get party favors? We have ready-made kits of tried and true Hipstitch favorites! They include all materials and instructions needed for your guests to get crafty at home. Click here to choose, and we can have them ready for you at the time of the party.
This listing is for a birthday party deposit of $200 to hold the date and time on our calendar. The deposit will be deducted from the final amount owed on the day of the party.
We run parties on the following days and times:
Saturday: 12:30pm - 2:00pm
Saturday: 2:30pm - 4:00pm
Saturday: 4:30pm - 6:00pm
Sunday: 12:00pm - 1:30pm
Sunday: 2:00pm - 3:30pm
Sunday: 4.00pm-5.30pm
