BUILDING COMMUNITY WHILE HELPING OTHERS

With the holidays right around the corner it reminds me how important it is to support local brick and mortars.  After all, this is what makes up our small and quaint neighborhoods.  What better way to support that idea than giving back? Many times throughout the year HipStitch collaborates with local charities and non profits to offer support in one way or another.  This past month we were thrilled to have had the opportunity to team up with the Newton Food Pantry in Waban.  Independently run by volunteers since 1983, it's the oldest run food pantry in Newton.  HipStitch designed and donated these tote bags, raising over $1000.  All proceeds went toward relief for Puerto Rico in the wake of hurricane Maria.  During this holiday season think of ways that you may be able to give back... however small or large.

As a small local business, it's important to listen to our clients and customers. If they're not satisfied then we aren't doing our job.  3 years ago, we expanded our space and curriculum to include Arts & Crafts as demand grew. In keeping with that concept we have been busy again creating new classes for the winter. There has been a huge demand for us to expand our  Junior Fashion Club, a Mommy & Me Art for Preschoolers, as well as Parent/Child Classes.  If you're in the neighborhood and want to see our studio first hand, pop on in! We love to have visitors!
